Lumbini is one of the popular tourist destination of Nepal.It is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha which is also listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also famously known as the capital of Buddhism. It is situated 300 km away from Kathmandu in Rubandehi District of Southern Terai at an altitude of 600 ft.

Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Pushkarini Tank, ancient stupas and Vihar are some attractions during Lumbini tour. Also, you can witness the relics of Buddha’s birth and his remarkable existence in Nepal.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Lumbini
    After having breakfast at hotel, we start our scenic drive to Lumbini; the birth place of Gautam Buddha. It takes 7- 8 hours to reach Lumbini. After reaching there, we will check-in to the hotel and take some rest. In the evening, we will stroll around in the local market.
  • Day 02: Explore the Lumbini
    Today, we explore the birth place of Lord Buddha, ancient heritages and Buddhist Monasteries for the whole day. We will visit Lumbini Garden, the Maya Devi Temple, Pushkarni Pool and other various temples built by the followers of Lord Buddha. We will visit those Stupas which are made by several countries. It provides chance to observe different culture from different country at the same place. Such as Thai stupa, Sri Lankan Stupa, Chinese stupa. After having such a beautiful visit we will go back to hotel.
  • Day 03: Drive from Lumbini to Kathmandu
    Today, we will drive back to Kathmandu for about 7-8 hours. This is a scenic drive with Himalayan views, Rivers and Jungles.
