The Gorge: Ultimate Bungy Nepal takes place on a 166m-wide steel suspension bridge over the Bhoti Kosi River.

The Bridge: Swiss designed, specially for bungy jumping with a 4x safety factor. The bridge has a loading factor of 41,500kg or 4.5 tones. And those are Swiss measurements! The bungy bridge is the longest in Nepal and also the only privately-owned bridge. Before its construction, locals walked five hours to cross this river gorge.

Detailed Itinerary

  • You leave Thamel at 6:00 AM in the morning on a tourist bus. The journey is about 3.5 hours with a couple of tea-breaks along the way. When we reach the resort – you can see the bridge 5 minutes before arriving! – we’ll introduce you to the bungy staff, give you a safety briefing, weigh you and give you a time slot. Then all you have to do is maintain mental calm until your turn! In the afternoon, around 3:00 pm afternoon, drive back to Kathmandu, arrive to Kathmandu in the evening.

What is the weight limit for bungee and swing?

The minimum weight for bungee jumping and swing is 40kgs and the maximum can be 100kgs and 120kgs respectively.

Are there any health risks, should and should not do’s?

These conditions can disqualify anyone; pregnancy, high blood pressure, heart conditions, neurological disorders, epilepsy, asthma, artificial limbs, previous dislocations, recent strains, recent breaks or recent surgery requiring stitches.

How long does bungee take?

About 5 minutes from the time of harnessing to time of un- harnessing.

What should I wear on the trip?

Whatever is comfortable for you! However, you are required to wear a closed pair of shoes. You need shoes that will cover all your toes.

How can I jump?

You can jump by exerting special force on the platform with the help of your legs and using the legs muscles to spring yourself into the air head first.

Can I touch the water below during my jump?

Absolutely not!! The river below is Bhote Koshi, which is known as one of the wildest rivers in the world. It is not only steep and fast but also has huge rocks that could cause unimaginable damage.
