Everest Basecamp Trek (20 Days)
This is one of Nepal’s most famous treks, set amongst breath-taking high mountain scenery. The Everest region is certainly the world's most glaring high mountain spot. Magnificent landscapes, imposing and prestigious peaks, tapering ridges and colorful villages contribute to turning this trek into an unforgettable experience. The itinerary leads through the high Khumbu mountains - Sherpa country - before arriving at the foot of Everest. The Kala Pattar (5545m) ascent is one of the highlights of this trek and boasts an absolutely stunning summit panorama: Ama Dablam, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse and the dark Everest pyramid, the world’s highest mountain (8848m).

    Day to Day Itinerary

Kathmandu guided sightseeing.
Day - 03
Katmandu-Lukla (2800m) by plane, then Lukla-Phakding (2600m) - 3h trek.
Great view of the Kusum Kangru (6369m).
Day - 04
Phakding - Namche Bazar (3440m) in 6h.
Situated in an amphitheatre, the capital of Khumbu towers above the two great valleys – Dudh Kosi and Bhote Kosi.

Namche Bazar.
Acclimatisation day which gives us time for a sightseeing tour or an excursion towards the village of Thame or Khumjung.
Day - 06
Namche Bazar - Tengpoche (3870m) in 5h
Our first great views of the Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. Steep descent towards a bridge over the Dudh Kosi, and then climb up a zigzagging path through rhododendron bushes. Some superb mountain sceneries towards Tengpoche, famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in Khumbu
Day - 07
Tengpoche - Pheriche (4250m) in 5h.
A steep descent through woods towards a suspension bridge over the Imja Khola river, then a steady climb up to Pheriche via Pangboche that houses the most ancient monastery in the region.
Day - 08
Pheriche - Lobuche (4920m) in 5h.
We continue up the wide valley beneath the impressive peaks of Cholatse (6440m) and Tawoche (6542m). Afterwards the climb gets steeper to reach the foot of the Khumbu glacier, and then zigzag up through the boulders of the glacier terminal moraine. Superb views of Nuptse.
Day - 09
Lobuche - Gorak Shep (5100m) in 3h.
As we continue along the side of the Khumbu glacier, the path becomes rocky and awkward as we keep climbing across the moraine. The sugar loaf dome of Pumori (7145m) lies directly ahead, on the right the Nuptse rises in a sheer spire and behind it an elusive sight of the Everest.
Day - 10
Gorak Shep - Kala Pattar (5545m) - Lobuche in 7h.
An intricate route threading its way between crevasses and almost translucent ice pinnacles and over moraine ridges. Unforgettable panorama from the Kala Pattar: Ama Dablam, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse and the impressive black pyramid of Everest. We then retrace our steps to Gorak Shep and return to Lobuche.
